Ryazan, the administrative center of Ryazan Oblast, is a prominent city located on the banks of the Oka River in Central Russia. Situated approximately 196 kilometers southeast of Moscow, Ryazan is an important urban hub with a population of 524,927 as per the 2010 Census. This makes it the 33rd most populated city in Russia and the fourth largest in Central Russia, following Moscow, Voronezh, and Yaroslavl.
